Funeral Home in Atlantic. Violet Blake passed away on Thursday July 29th at the
Heritage House in Atlantic. Survivors include her children Bart (Janice) Blake
of Atlantic; Larry (Diane) Blake of Aurora, CO; and Linda (Jack) Blake of Paris,

Graveside Services for 88 year old Verna Miller of Dunlap, formerly of Dow City,
will be 11am Friday, July 30th at the Dow Cemetery in Dow City. Verna Miller passed away
Sunday at the Dunlap Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Survivors include one
daughter Susan Knight of Ames, 1 sister, 2 grandchildren, 1 great
grand-daughter and other relatives and friends. The Huebner Funeral Home in
Denison is in charge of arrangements where friends may call from 9-10:30 Friday
morning.

Services for 75 year old Tom Musfeldt of Manilla will be held at 10:30 am
on Saturday July 31st at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Manilla. Burial will be
in the Manning Cemetery. Tom Musfeldt passed away on Wednesday July 28th at the
Manilla Manor Nursing Home. Survivors include wife LeeAnn Musfeldt of Manilla;
sons Craig Musfeldt of Manilla; Kent Musfeldt of Coon Rapids; Kurt Musfeldt of
Harlan; six grandchildren; one sister; two brothers; and many other relatives
and friends. The Johnson and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Manning is in charge of
the arrangements. The family will be receiving friends after 4 pm on Friday at
the Trinity Lutheran Church in Manilla.

Saturday July 31st at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig. Burial will be
in the Morgan Cemetery in Schleswig. Robert Beeck passed away on Wednesday July
28th at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Densison. Survivors include his
wife Janet of Schleswig; sons Trevis (Laura) Beeck of Denison; and Justin (Dayna)
Beeck of Denison; daughter Paige (Chandler) Evans of Akeny; six grandchildren;
one brother; three sisters; two sisters in law; and many other relatives and
friends. The Huebner Funeral Home in Schleswig is in charge of the arrangements

Service for 55 year old Donald Madsen of Audubon will be held at 10:30 am on
Saturday July 31st at the Our Saviors Church in Audubon. Burial will be in the
Lincoln Township Cemetery southwest of Gray, IA. Donald Madsen passed away on
Wednesday July 28th at the Exira Care Center. Survivors include his mother
Valetta (Marvin) Jensen of Audubon; his brothers Larry (Lisa) Madsen of Sturgeon
Bay, WI; and Jeff (Chelle) Madsen of Creston; and many other relatives and
friends. The Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon is in charge of the arrangements
where there will be a visitation service on Friday July 30th at 6:30 pm.

Memorial Services for 79 year old Love Farnham of Anita will be held at 11 am on
Saturday July 31st at the First Church of Christ in Atlantic. There will be a
private family burial of the cremated remains at a later date. Love Farnham
passed away on Wednesday July 28th at the Cass County Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include her children Sarah (James) Rosenberger of Waynesboro, PA;
Rachel (Darrin) Slick of Waynesboro, PA; Joshua (Shelby) Farnham of Kalispell,
MT; and Timothy (Katrina) Farnham of Washington State; two sisters; two
brothers; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and
friends. The Hockenberry Family Care Funeral Home in Anita is in charge of the
arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the First
Church of Christ in Atlantic.

Graceland Cemetery in Avoca. Janice Schultz passed away on Thursday, July 29th, at

Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Roy
Schultz of Avoca; 2 sons, Dr. Gary Schultz (wife-Taylor Nagengast) of Avoca and
Kent Schultz (LaVerne) of Plano, TX; 1 daughter, Kathryn Schultz of Mission
Viejo, CA and 7 grandchildren. Visitation will be held 3 to 8 pm, Sunday,
August 1st, at the United Church of Avoca with the family present to greet
friends from 6 to 8 pm and a prayer service at 7:30 pm. The Pauley-Jones

July 29th at the Manning Regional Healthcare Center. Survivors include wife
Imelda Kerkhoff of Manning; children Marty (Debra) Kerkhoff of Manning; Keith
Kerkhoff of Manilla; Mary (John) Bertelsen of Polk City; Joel Kerkhoff of
Glenwood; Ron (Kim) Kerkhoff of Hartland, MN; Dan (Cheryl) Kerkhoff of Manning;
and Scott (Teri) Kerkhoff of Iowa City; 14 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren;
3 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. The Ohde Funeral
