Cyclones Downed by Top-Ranked Blue Jays in Substate Final –

(2-27-23) – The Cyclones found out why the Blue Jays are at the top of their class.

Terrific ball rotation led to several open shots early and often as Bondurant-Farrar would send Harlan Community reeling to a 74-53 loss Monday night.

Cyclone Coach Mitch Osborn gave credit to the Blue Jays offense for their solid attack.

"They were just very, very balanced," Osborn told KNOD Sports Tuesday. "Pfaltzgraff... just had a dynamite game for them... but that's what you gotta have in this type of a game. You gotta have somebody step up. But, overall, very proud of our guys. (They) did a great job during this run."

The Cyclones Jacob Birch finished off his senior campaign with 16 pts, while fellow seniors Jace Gubbels and Teagon Kasperbauer scored 9 and 6 pts respectively.

The Blue Jays had three players in double figures, lead by Reed Pfaltzgraff's 24 pts. It’s the fifth trip to the State Tournament for Bondurant-Farrar while the continue their undefeated season at 23-0.

Harlan Community ends their season with a record of 17-6.
