Riverside BKB Earns Home Sweep of Missouri Valley –

(1-14-25) – The Dawgs were let out in Oakland and they ran away with a pair of wins Tuesday.

Ryleigh Ewalt had 17pts off the bench for Riverside as they came away with a 46-30 win over Missouri Valley while Peyton Amdor scored 19pts in the Bulldogs 57-46 win over the Big Reds.

Ewalt talked about doing whatever it takes to help her team win.

“I think we have 15 girls that always want to get out there and play. So having a lot of numbers is a good problem to have and if coming off the bench is what I have to do to get a W and let’s do it.”

Sophia Fenner and Adaline Martens each had 9 points for the Bulldogs while the Lady Reds got 7 points from Grace Herman.

For the boys’, it was a battle for most of the game. After taking a 14-point, first half lead, the Big Reds battle back to cut their deficit to 4 to start the 4th. But a 10-4 run to start the final quarter would give Riverside the separation to claim the win.

Amdor believes the past couple of games are helping his team learn how battle against tough competition.

“We learned that we can compete last night. It was a big, big loss over Tri Center, but they're good. So, we know we can compete with anyone.”

Amdor led four Riverside players in double-figures as Cole Jeppesen had 14, Owen Fenner 11, and Dawson Henderson 10.

Missouri Valley got 16 from Layton Maasen while Daylen Kocour had double-double with 10pts and 10 rebounds.
