Albertsen to Continue Basketball Career at Iowa Western –

(3-6-25) - Iowa Western will have a familiar name on their women’s basketball team next season.

Harlan Community’s Grace Albertsen signed her letter of intent on Thursday to play for the Reivers next season. She said being a Reiver was a logical choice.

“I took a couple visits, but in the end, I just decided Iowa Western was close to home and just smarter financially and I thought it was the best choice for me.”

Albertsen also likes what new Iowa Western Coach Zach Loll brings to the program.

“The new coaches this year, they really persuaded me to go there and are super nice the team part of it, they're just trying to build a good team and I just want to be a part of it.”

Albertsen averaged 15 points and 9.8 rebounds her senior season with the Cyclones. She looks to major in health.
