Carroll In, Shen, Red Oak, & LC Out of The Hawkeye Ten -
(10-13-25) - One in. Three out. That’s how the Hawkeye Ten Conference came out of the recent rollout of conference realignment, adding Carroll, but losing Lewis Central, Shenandoah, and Red Oak. “The Hawkeye Ten Conference Board of Control unanimously voted to approve the requests of Lewis Central, Red Oak, and Shenandoah High Schools to depart the conference at the conclusion of the 2025–2026 activity season,” the conference said in a press release Thursday. “In the same action, the Board also approved Carroll High School to join the Hawkeye Ten Conference for the start of the 2026-2027 activity season.” The conference invited Carroll and Treynor to join in July to help with their restructuring of the conference into large and small school divisions. Carroll accepted their invitation in September while Treynor decided to stay in the WIC. Shenandoah and Red Oak each accepted invitations to the Western Iowa Conference while Lewis Central is leaving for the Missouri River Conference.
