Cyclone Girls XC Reaches State, Sonderman 3rd at Pella Meet –

(10-18-23) – Harlan Community is heading back to Fort Dodge as the Cyclones qualified for State, finishing 2nd overall with 98 points.

Lindsey Sonderman finished 3rd individually with a time of 19:08.69. Host Pella took the top-two spots individually and won the overall team event with 29 points.

Results from other Cyclone girls' runners include, Brylee Schechinger - 12th (20:16.05), Allie Anderson - 21st (21:18.14), Taylor Bieker - 28th (21:39.17), Emily Schechinger - 34th (22:25.65), Lily Schechigner - 45th, and Kayla Anderson - 48th.

The Harlan Community boys didn’t fair as well against some tough competition, finishing 9th overall. Ian Shelton had the Cyclones best time of 17:51.34, good enough for 32nd individually. Keaton Heilson was 51st, Joseph Bragg 53rd, Jonathan Shelton 54th, and Cole Heronimus 58th in their final meet of the season.

Harlan Community girls' cross-country will compete at Fort Dodge on Saturday.
