Grobe, Evans Named to IPSWA Boys Basketball All-State Team -
 
(3-15-22) – The Iowa Print Sports Writers Association (IPSWA) announced the 2022 boys basketball all-state teams on today and two area student-athletes were selected in Class 1A.

AHSTW’s Raydden Grobe was a 2nd team selection in Class 1A while West Harrison’s Sage Evans was chose to the 3rd team.

In his senior season, Grobe was second in the Western Iowa Conference in scoring, to teammate Brayden Lund, and 2nd in 3pt shooting percent at 41.8 percent. Evans was third in the Rolling Valley in scoring, behind teammates Mason King and Koleson Evans, but led the RVC in assists and rebounds, averaging a double-double on the season with 13.6 pts and 13.9 boards per game, leading the Hawkeyes to their first State Tournament appearance in school history.
