IKM-Manning BKB Pulls Off Sweep of Lo-Ma -

(12-9-25) – The tide turned quickly for both Wolves basketball teams as they came away with a doubleheader sweep on Tuesday.

Wyatt Danner had 19 pts for IKM-Manning as they cruised to a 62-44 win over Logan-Magnolia.

Trailing 7-4 in the opening qtr, the Wolves would go on a 17-2 run and never allow the Panthers to get closer than 13 the rest of the game.

Danner had a pair of drives to the basket that led to 3-pt plays on a pair of possessions during the run. He says he’s worked on being more effective in the lane.

“I think the hardest part in basketball is kind of scoring in the paint area and that's kind of what I've started working on more in the offseason. I know I can expand there a lot more.”

Ben Ramsey also had 19 pts for the Wolves while Cale Cunard had 19 pts for the Panthers.

In the girls’ contest, Ella Langel had 14 pts off the bench for IKM-Manning, helping her team recover from a slow start in a 56-27 victory over Logan-Magnolia.

The Wolves were down 4-1 for the first 6 minutes of the game before Oriah Meiners hit a 3-ptr to tie the game. That started a 5-0 to end the quarter and a 9-0 run overall that gave IKM-Manning a lead they wouldn’t relinquish.

Langel said she knew it would be up to her to be as effective as possible against the defense Panthers were presenting.

“After we saw that Anna was being a ‘Box and 1’ or whatever, she's being face guarded and Keegan was being double teamed half the time, I think I kind of knew I'm going to take as many shots as I can because like why not? They can't do it (because of the tight defense), so I’m gonna do it.”

The Wolves got 12 pts from Anna Stangl. The Panthers were led by Allysen Johnsen, who also had 12 pts.
