IKM-Manning Boys Win Late, Tri-Center Girls Dominate in Hoops Split -

(1-20-23) - It was a wild Friday night in the Western Iowa Conference up in Manning.

Ben Ramsey’s floater with just over a minute to play would be the game winner in IKM-Manning’s 59-56 victory over Tri-Center. Ramsey talked to KNOD Sports about the importance of the win.

“It was big. Just another confidence booster and another goal to making it pretty far in the tournament this year.”

Ramsey finished the game with a team-high 18 points. The Trojans Christian Dahir lead all scorers with 19 points, 14 in the second half, go along with 11 rebounds.

In the girls’ game, it was easy pickins for Tri-Center early as the Trojans Alexis Flaharty had 9 of the team’s first 11 points, leading her to a double-double of 14 points and 11 boards in Tri-Center’s 52-36 victory over IKM-Manning.

“I think mostly the offensive rebound to the hoop just getting up for me,” Flaharty told KNOD Sports postgame. “Then the look for the whole team at the three point line, high post, mid post, all those shots worked.”

Taylor Kenkel added 12 points for Tri-Center. Mabel Langel led 8 different scorers for the Wolves with 7 points.
