IKM-Manning Girls, Tri-Center Boys Split Basketball DH –

(12-2-25) – It was a tale of two blowouts in Manning on Tuesday.

Cael Witt had 16 pts including four 3-ptrs, all in the 1st half, as Tri-Center cruised to a 78-46 win over IKM-Manning. Witt talked about taking control of the offense with several players in foul trouble early in the game.

“We were a little bit handsy and we had to clean that up, but I feel like it's just kind of more of a maturity thing being able to step in as point guard for AJ and I know this whole team trusts me and I all trust them, so that makes it easy.”

AJ Harder matched Witt with 16 points for the Trojans to start their season 1-0. Meanwhile, Ben Ramsey had 18 for the Wolves, who fall to 0-1.

Anna Stangl had 22 points as IKM-Manning rolled to a 58-27 victory over Tri-Center. Stangl felt her team was strong with their press defense, but knows they need to work to stay out of foul trouble in the future.

“After watching film, we saw they didn't like pressure. So we just went in their grill and I think sometimes we can get a little too aggressive early in the season because in practice, it gets a little rough. I mean, we practice with the boys, so that helps a lot. We just start following them. I think that'll kind of start to wear off later on.”

Keagan Eischeid added 20 points for the Wolves, who even their record at 1-1 on the season. The Trojans got 11 points from Lauren Harder in the loss that put them at 1-1 on the year.
