IKM-Manning VB Sweeps Boyer Valley in Regional Opener –

(10-20-25) – The Wolves show their dominance to open postseason play.

Ella Langel helped out with 8 kills as IKM-Manning rolled to a straight-set victory over Boyer Valley, 25-11, 25-22, 25-14, in the opening round of the 1A-Region 5 playoffs.

Langel felt their experience in playing the Bulldogs previously helped with the Wolves strategy in how to attack them.

“We played them before, so we kind of knew what they did and everything. So we just knew we had to be scrappy and we couldn't let any balls drop and we knew service was going to be a big thing for us today.”

Langel talked about her mentality in contributing to the Wolves offense.

“I think knowing that everyone knows that Addie (Bandow) and Keagan (Eischeid) are amazing hitters, I think anything that I can do to help takes the stress off of them and takes the stress off of any other hitters that we have. So I kind of just try to have my mindset as play the best as you can every day so then they don't have as much stress that they need to be amazing 100% of the time.

Bandow and Eischeid each had 12 kills for IKM-Manning, who will play Kingsley-Pierson in the quarterfinals on Wednesday.

Gwen Neilsen led Boyer Valley with 7 kills as they finish their season 16-18.
