Jeppesen's Late 3 Gives Riverside Basketball Sweep of Missouri Valley -

(12-8-22) - It went down to the wire in Oakland Thursday.

Grady Jeppesen’s 3-pointer with 3.5 left gave Riverside a 65-62 win over Missouri Valley and helped the Bulldogs earn a doubleheader sweep after the Lady Dawg had defeated the Lady Reds, 41 to 17.

Aiden Bell led the Bulldogs with 27 points. He talked with KNOD Sports about the game-winning shot.

"That's exactly what we drew up. Ayden (Salais) drove and kicked. Exactly what we talked about in the huddle. And Grady, we've been waiting have him back all year and it's great to have him hit a shot like that."

Dane Janessen had 24 points for the Big Red. The teams combined for 20 three pointers on the evening.

In the girls contest, Riverside started the game on a 7-0 run and never looked back, opening a 28-6 lead at the half. The Lady Dawgs Sophia Taylor led all scorers with 13 points.

"We've been working through practice like blocking out distractions and working as a team and being successful and I think that what we're doing in practice is helping us with what we're in the game."

Ella Myler led the Lady Reds with 8 points and 12 boards.
