Lo-Ma BB Beats St. Albert, 5-1 -

(6-4-25) - The Panthers continued their winning ways Wednesday.

Macklin Loftus drove in 3 runs on the night as Logan-Magnolia got a 5-1 win over St. Albert for their 4th consecutive victory.

It was a brilliant pitching performance by senior Kaleb Kuhl, who went the distance, striking out 6 and giving up just one unearned run on two hits. He talked to KNOD Sports about adjustments he had to make mid game.

“Usually my off speed’s my bread and butter, but it just wasn't working today so I had to figure something else out and I was able to locate my fastball, get weak ground balls and weak fly balls to let the defense work. So, it was really good to have a great defense behind me and let the boys work.”

Kuhl has now run his streak without allowing an earned run to 18 consecutive innings to start the season.

Loftus was 1 for 1 overall with the 3 RBI. Kuhl talked the freshman’s impact on the team.

“It's been great to have a guy to not only compete with but to watch him grow as a player as well. It's been really nice to see him come around with the bat this year. I know last year he only pitched for us, but it's been great to see him fill spots where we need them and get clutch hits like that to help the team.”

The Panthers Cale Cunard, 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored. Lo-Ma will face WIC rival top-ranked Underwood tonight.

The Falcons Connor Holly went 5 innings giving up four earned runs in the loss.
