Lo-Ma Dominates Tri-Center Boys Invitational Track Meet -

(4-14-26) – The Panthers pounced on their opportunity to shine.

Logan-Magnolia dominated the Tri-Center Boys Invitational Track Meet Tuesday, winning with 112 pts. The Panthers got wins in the high jump by Adam Roden with a height of 6’1” and the 400m by Brodie Davis in 51.23 seconds.

Tri-Center another solid finish from Haven Weers in the 1600m run, where he was 1st with a time of 4:41.74 and the 3200m run, finishing in 2nd place with a time of 9:50.38. Weers says he talked with event winner Emmauel Grass of Red Oak prior to competing against him in the 3200m and discussed how the two elite runners would work together around the track.

“We had kind of planned that when we found out we were going to be here together, just every two laps switching, switching leading so not one of us had to do too much and we could both just focus on running fast together.

“I ran against him a lot during cross country, so we had a good relationship going into this, so it's pretty easy just to run fast together.”

Grass won the 3200m with a meet record 9:49.36.

Missouri Valley’s Jaden Hill was 2nd in the high jump with a height of 5’10”and he helped his Sprint Med team, along with Anthony Wedel, Owen Gute, & Ryder O’Dowd, get the win with at time of 1:38.68.

For Hill, his athleticism led to the opportunity to try the high jump for the first time.

“I haven't practiced (high jump) much at school. That was really my first time doing it. Just was just going to wing it, see if I could do it. I mean, this came for a lot from basketball, I’ll say.”

Hill says he’s having a good time competing in track for the first time this season.

“Having fun, hanging out with my friends. First time doing track, just wanted to do something for fun.”

Tri-Center finished 4th in overall points with AHSTW 5th, Missouri Valley 6th, Griswold 7th, St Albert 9th, and Riverside 10th.
