Lo-Ma VB Earns Straight-Set Win over AHSTW, 3-0 –

(9-17-26) – The Panthers pounced at an opportunity to make headway in the Western Iowa Conference.

Lindsey Kastner had 12 kills in Logan-Magnolia’s straight set victory over AHSTW, 25-15, 25-17, 25-20.

The match started back and forth before the Panthers began to roll with 8 consecutive points in the opening set, eventually opening up a 10-pt lead.

Kastner gave credit to setter Morgan Van Iten, who passed out 22 assists, for giving her and her teammates the opportunities score points.

“We've been practicing really hard. Morgan's a freshman, so I haven't had a lot of opportunities to hit off her in the past. So it's really awesome that we get to have the connection that we have.”

“I have a great setter. She puts me right in the right place every time.”

Panther teammates Hadley Fetter, Maria Kiger, and Avery Hinkel each had 5 kills. Kastner says they compliment each other’s skill set well on the court.

“Those are like some of our favorite players. I've been playing with them for a long time. So, it's really easy for me to play with them. Our team chemistry this year is so awesome. There are some great energy givers on our team.”

The Lady Vikes were led by 9 kills from Addison Carroll and 16 assists by Bella Lamp.

Logan-Magnolia improves to 7-6 getting their first win the WIC, while AHSTW falls to 5-9.
