Missouri Valley FB Getting Face-Lift with New Coach, New Scheme -

(8-28-24) – New Missouri Valley coach Dante Allen wants to make the game fun again for his Big Red players.

“When you run I-formations the whole game, it's not very fun for the kids. They’re not looking excited to be there. So, we're gonna do a lot of different formations. We want to throw the ball. We want to run the ball, be about half and half with that, so we want to just open up everything for the kids for like when they come to practice or go to the games that they are having a good time while they’re out there.”

Missouri Valley is coming off of one in eight season as a new coach, Alan understands how important defenders like Aidan Vergamini will be to how well this team competes this season.

We go to get him to buy in to the new program, to the new system, to the new scheme, and if we can get the leaders to buy in, it's easier to pull the rest of your team with them because they see the leaders followed our lead and now they can lead the players to understanding the schemes and this system and what they’re getting into.”

Coach Allen will begin his tenure as the Big Reds coach in a renewal of the Highway 30 rivalry with Logan Magnolia on August 30th.
