Tigers FB Dominates Again, Beats SE Warren to Reach QF, 68-0 –

(10-31-25) – The Tigers had plenty of tricks up their sleeve on Halloween night.

With trick plays, quick strikes, and a dominant defense, Woodbine would roll over Southeast Warren, 68-0, to reach the quarterfinals of the 8-player playoffs.

Brodyn Pryor led the way offensively with 278 yards total offense and 6 total TDs. Despite of his performance running the offense, Pryor credits his teammates for its success.

“I'm just the guy behind the screens taking all the credit. I'm just back there catching the ball. It's all the guys in front of me that's making it happen for me.”

The Tigers were able to strike quickly. After recovering a fumble on the Warhawks 21, Pryor hit Landon Blum for a touchdown on the first play from scrimmage to give Woodbine a lead they wouldn’t relinquish.

Joe Freund would add a 16-yd TD run to give the Tigers a 14-0 lead at the end of the 1st qtr.

Pryor would take over in the 2nd qtr, adding TD runs of 62 and 66-yd runs as Woodbine would score 32 points in the qtr.

The wildest play came just before halftime when Woodbine had the ball on the SE Warren 26. Cal Pryor came in at quarterback and pitched the ball to Micah Moores, who then lateralled across the field to Brodyn Pryor and hit Cal Pryor with a 26-yd TD pass to make the score 46-0 at the half.

“That's just the old 6-7 burnt burrito,” Brody Pryor said about the play.” We've been faxing that all week. We ran it once in game. We just didn't get it clicked. That was just a fun play for us to run in practice, keep us all involved and we were all so hyped up when we got that completed.”

Defensively, the Tigers would shutdown the Warhawks Jamison Ewing, who rushed for 406 yds in the 1st rd against Boyer Valley and over 2200 yds on the season, to just 91 yds on the ground. Woodbine would also create 4 turnovers and stop SE Warren on downs twice, including a great tackle by Freund on Tucker Dierking at the Woodbine 2 to keep the Warhawks off the board.

“You got to be scared to run that ball on his edge,” Pryor said for Freund. “He's just always there and he just eats you up.”

Woodbine improves to 9-0 and will have a rematch against Fremont-Mills on Thursday in 8-player quarterfinals.
