Tri-Center, Underwood’s Buckholdt Perform Well at Audubon Girls Early Bird –

(3-30-26) – No points, but plenty of solid performance.

That’s how the Audubon Girls’ Early Bird went on Monday. Several teams and individuals had impressive performance… even if the points didn’t matter.

Underwood’s Isabella Buckholdt won the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.90 seconds and the long jump with a distance of 17 feet 3 and half inches. Buckholdt talked about the work she’s put in this offseason to improve her jumps.

“I was working on those last two steps, trying to make them fast and quick. I've been going to track camps in Lincoln, working with the Nebraska coach. So yeah, being able to PR actually at this meet has been really good.”

Tri-Center also had a good meet, with the relay team of Haley Harder, Tess Casey, Lucy Elsener, and Zohie Payne winning the Sprint Medley with a time of 1:55.74. Payne, who also had a 3rd place finish in the 100m hurdles, talked about the camaraderie they have built to be so efficient around the track.

“We do a lot of handoffs and drills and overall like workouts together. So it's a lot of team bonding. We have a lot of fun.”

Elsener also competed in the 100m dash finishing 8th, talked about the conditioning she’s done to improve her speed this offseason.

“We lost a pretty good sprinter last year, so I just had to step up and really, we've been doing a lot of workouts as a team. It's crazy being like a leader on the team this year as a senior, so I just don't want to let the team down and I'm just trying to get better.”

The Trojans also got a win from Reese Dittmer in the 800m with at time of 2:35.76.

AHSTW’s Bella Lamp was your winner in the 400m hurdles and the anchor leg on of the winning 4x800m relay team that included Ava Paulsen, Makenna Paulsen, and Macey Goshorn.

Treynor won 7 of the 19 events to lead all teams, getting wins from Lily Miller in the 1500m and the 3000m.
