Trojans BKB Marches to Sweep of Mo Valley –

(1-10-25) – It was a doubleheader sweep for Tri-Center over Missouri Valley Friday night with the Trojan girls’ topping the Lady Reds, 38-32, and the boys’ dominating the Big Reds, 83-52.

Quincey Schneckloth had a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards as the Trojans beat the Lady Reds, 38-32. Schneckloth believes her team’s hard work is starting to pay off.

“Coach has really been like pressuring us to go to practice and work hard because our past few conference games haven't gone the way we wanted. It was a one-possession game that we ended up losing, so it was important for us to play hard every minute that we have, value every possession, and it feels good to finally finish the game the way we wanted to go.”

Hayden Thomas added 8 points Tri-Center while Missouri Valley’s Grace Herman led all scorers with 17 points in the loss.

In the boys’ game, Cael Witt had 14 points as the transition game . Witt believes lessons were learned by their loss earlier in the week to Treynor.

“We decided to anticipate better. That's one thing we didn't do good in our loss Tuesday was we didn't anticipate but just anticipated, kind of knew what they were going to do and then we took advantage of it.”

The Trojans got 25 from AJ Harder while the Big Reds also got 25 from Layton Maasen.
