Underwood BB Takes Double Dip from AHSTW –

(12-5-25) – The Eagles soar to a sweep of AHSTW on Friday.

Remi Paulson’s putback 3pt play in the 4th qtr would be crucial for Underwood, as AHSTW’s late rally fell short and the Eagles held on for 44-42 victory.

The Lady Vikes were down by 12 to start the 4th quarter and cut their deficit to 1 with just over a minute remaining. The Eagles would tighten up the defense in the final minute with several steals to seal the win.

Underwood’s Ainsley Roberts, who had 13 pts that including , was impressed with how her team handle the situation.

“Overall, we stepped out of our comfort zone and we've never been in that type of situation before. So, I'm proud of the freshmen, especially for staying calm under high pressure games and I'm just happy for them that they got it done.”

Addison Carroll had 17 pts for AHSTW who suffered their first loss of the season.

In the boys’ contest, Nolan Baker led the way with 19 pts in Underwood’s 76-41 win over AHSTW.

The Eagles jumped out to a 14-pt lead after the 1st qtr behind 10 pts from Landon Wigington and 8 pts from Garrett Luett. Luett had a double-double with 18 pts and 10 boards while Wigington also contributed 18 pts.

Baker talked about his team’s versatility with himself, Luett, and Wigington all averaging in double figures on the season.

“Having all three of us going is incredible because it's not just one guy they have to stop one play (that) they have to stop. They have to defend the kick out. They have to defend the post and they have to defend the dribble, which is, as a defense, that's really hard to do.”

Collin Harder led the Vikings with 17 pts in their season opening loss while the Eagles improve to 3-0.
