WIC Track Sees Riverside Boys’, Treynor Girls’ Earn Championships -

(5-6-25) – The best in the WIC showed off what they can do on oval.

The Western Iowa Conference Championships in Treynor on Tuesday saw a tight boys’ meet where Riverside pull out the victory, scoring 141 pts, 11 pts better than 2nd place Treynor.

The Bulldogs won the Sprint Medley, Distance Medley, and 4x400M relay, while getting wins from Dawson Henderson in the 800M and Owen Fenner in the 1600N.

Tri-Center got wins from Carter Kunze in the Long Jump and Haven Weers in the 3200M while Underwood got wins from David Foote in the Discus and Tayden Hull in the 400M Hurdles.

The WIC Girls’ Championship was dominated by host Treynor, who scored 197 pts. The Cardinals got 5 event wins on the evening, two more for Delaney Mathews in the Discus and Shot Put and from Rylee Hemmingsen in the High Jump and 100M Hurdles.

Tri-Center, who was 2nd with 157.5 pts, got 6 event victories as Tess Casey took the 200M and 400M and Quincey Schneckloth was your winner in the 400M Hurdles, while the relay teams in the Sprint Medley, 4x800M, and Shuttle Hurdle were all winners.
