Woodbine BB Sweeps Rival Boyer Valley -

(1-6-25) – Nothing could hold those Tigers in Dunlap Monday.

Woodbine would earn a doubleheader sweep on the basketball court against Boyer Valley with the girls’ winning 51-41 and the boys’ taking home an 84-61 victory.

Charlie Pryor put up 28 points for the Tiger girls. Pryor knew what to expect in this contest against their Rolling Valley Conference rival.

“I knew it was going to be physical game,” Pryor told KNOD Sports following the conets. “So getting to hoop, getting to the free throw line was a big part of my game and a big part of our whole teams game, especially when we were struggling with the threes a little bit, but we could knock them in every once in a while to make them guard us for sure…

We knew was going to be physical up here. We knew it was going to be a tough battle. I'm glad that we came out with the win.”

The Tigers Taylor Hoefer provided 11 points while Morgan Hast and Mariah Falkena each had 10 points for the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, the Woodbine boys were putting on a show, getting a 29-point effort for Jax Pryor. Pryor knows that with his team, it can be anybody’s night at anytime.

“Anybody's gonna have a night, you know. It's not like one players gonna go outstanding the whole year. Everybody on our team can score. So, yeah, just knowing that everybody can have an outstanding game and get to work.”

Carson Kelley added 15 points and Carter Gruver had 14 for the Tigers, who remain undefeated at 6-0.

The Bulldogs Brody Koski led four players in double figures with 18 points.
