Woodbine Girls’ Roll to Regional Win Over Boyer Valley, 64-49 -

(2-13-25) – The basketball postseason got underway Thursday with Hoefer heaving threes for the Tigers.

Taylor Hoefer had five 3-pointers and a total of 19 points as Woodbine rolled to a 64-49 win over Boyer Valley.

Hoefer talked about playing as a team.

“We just talked about playing together. Char(lie Pryor) mentioned in the locker room when she heard me saying that I was open, she was getting me the ball. We just want play together. Be a team. Be confident.”

Isabelle Crook had a double-double off the bench with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Tigers Coach Ryan Coenen like how his players have stepped up to fill in roles after a series of injuries late in the season.

“Well, we’ve had some injuries pop in to us, so we’ve got kids stepping up and having to play extended minute roles, which makes you a little nervous as a coach when we don't have, you know, proven commodities out there. But the youngsters are starting to kind of figure it out.”

Charlie Pryor also had 19 points in the game for Woodbine, who moves on to face CAM on Tuesday.

Boyer Valley got 16 points and 9 rebounds from Sylvia Sullivan as their season concludes with a record of 9- 13.
