Woodbine SB Dominates Boyer Valley, 10-0 -

(6-27-25) - It was a Pryor Party filled with K’s in Woodbine Friday.

Charlie Pryor struck out 8 over 4 no-hit innings as Woodbine beat Boyer Valley by run-rule, 10-0.

The weather was one factor in Pryor looking to be efficient.

“I know my defense (is) behind me, so I just try and throw strikes especially in a game where it’s kind of hot. Wanna get in and get out of innings, so I was throwing strikes and hitting my spots while I’m pitching.”

The only baserunner for Bulldogs was to lead off the 2nd when Liza Klinker reached on a passed ball following a strikeout.

A 6-run rally in the 4th led to the walk-off, highlighted by the Tigers Vanessa Blum 2-RBI double. Blum, who had 3 RBI in the contest, talked about her approach at the plate.

“I just got my timing down towards the end. The beginning was kind of rough but I got through it.”

Pryor feels her team is playing with confidence.

“I think we are going in (to the postseason). We definitely have some stuff that we need to work on, but AB's are looking better and we just gotta keep grinding in the batting cage and keep working on defense, moving every pitch and we'll get to where we want to be.”

The Tigers improve to 15-4 on the year while Boyer Valley falls to 3-12.
